Take Care of Yourself While Working From Home

During this unprecedented time of social distancing and a worldwide pandemic, it is important to keep your mental health a priority while working from home. The American Psychiatric Association and the World Health Organization have released helpful hints and guidelines to better take care of yourself!

  1. Maintain a schedule: Though working from home has many perks -  waking up later, working in comfortable clothes and surroundings, and being able to snuggle your pets at any moment - your body and mind thrive with a routine. Wake up around the same time every morning, change out of your pajamas, eat a healthy breakfast, and make sure to head to bed early enough to get a full night’s rest.

  2. Move your body: Take a break to stretch your legs every hour or so. Take a walk or follow an online exercise video to get your heart pumping at least 3 times a week

  3. Stay connected: Social distancing can lead to feelings of loneliness. It’s important to connect with family and friends over calls, texts, and video chats!
